About me.

I was born in Quinta das Lameiras and I have lived in Lisboa, London, Paris and Los Angeles. Being fluent in 5 languages (Portuguese, Spanish, German, French and English), I can also understand a few others, so I am always communicating, teaching and learning by sharing knowledge. I have a clear and practical mindset, being very organized and methodical, so I work well under pressure with imagination and coherence, bringing an engaging attitude and strong innovative and creative ideas across a range of disciplines.

I have completed a European PhD in History of Art with the highest mark possible, given unanimously by an international jury. My dissertation was about the silence and the void in art. I was a Visiting Scholar at Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) and I completed a MA degree at Sotheby’s Institute London/University of Manchester with a dissertation about the Preliminary Course of the Bauhaus. I have also received degrees from the University of the Arts London, both FdA and BA (Hons). Having been part of the Learning Department at Tate Modern/Tate Britain, I also keep an active participation in diverse academic and creative areas, that have included collaborations with museums, art fairs and global galleries such as Victoria & Albert Museum, Saatchi Gallery, Frieze Art Fair/Frieze Masters and magazines — namely Wallpaper and Arkitip. Along with participating regularly in international conferences and artistic residences, I was Assistant Editor at the newspaper Arts London News. I currently teach literature at a private college.
